I Love Shoes

"A woman never looks complete without good shoes. No matter what you do; wear good clothes, good accessories, make-up and hair-dos, shoes are an important part of you."
I am very sure that you agreed with me too, right?
Shoe addict!!! That's me! I love shoes especially high heels and i can’t resist myself to buy whenever i go shopping.  But sometimes i tend to purchase the same style
just different in colour :D. I always tend to buy shoes to match with my dress/clothes ^_^

My shopping for Diwali comes to the end. Just a few stuffs only in my list. Will be done once my hubby is here by next week. Hope so:p

Last week, I went to Malacca and Kuala Lumpur with my friends just for Diwali shopping. We really walked through every single shops/ outlet there and really enjoyed with the things

Green rolls

Me with my working colleagues

Yummy
Kuih Ketayap

This is a traditional kuih that you can find easily at roadside stalls in Malaysia. It's a rolled up pandan flavoured pancake with gula melaka and coconut filling. Pandan gives the pancake a lovely green colour and a wonderful fragrant flavour.

Today, my friend was teaching her form one students how to make 'kuih ketayap' during her 'home science class'.  I was in the next class.
I love kuih ketayap but never try to make this at home. So, I with few teachers took the chance to learn today
 since we had free time:)

*Want to learn to make this 'kueh'. Here it goes.....

Ingredients

Coconut Filling

2 Cup Grated Coconut
60 – 80 g Gula Kabung / Melaka ( Palm Sugar ) or you can use normal sugar
¼ Cup Coconut Milk

Pandan Pancake

1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Large Egg
½ Cup Pandan Juice ( 2-4 pandan leaves blended with ½ cup water and strained )
1 Cup Coconut Milk
2 Tbs Vegetable Oil
2 Pandan Leaves, tied together to use as a brush
A pinch of Salt

Method

Coconut Filling

1. Melt the sugar with coconut milk.
2. Once the sugar has melted, coat the grated coconut with the mixture and make sure it's not too dry.

Pancake

1. In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, egg, pandan juice, coconut milk and salt together.
2. Heat a non stick pan and brush it with oil using the pandan leaves brush.
3. Pour about a half cup of batter and move the pan around to spread the batter evenly. Use the same technique as making crepes.
4. Once cooked, remove from the pan and fill it with the coconut filling.
5. Roll the pancake like 'Popia'.
6. Repeat the steps until you've used up all the batter.

Don't forget to try yah:)

Stay Motivated Forever

Found this interesting reading "5 ways to stay motivated forever", thought it is worth sharing with you.  With the complications we have every day, it would be good to keep you motivated all the time.  Let have a look and understand on this list and hope it will make your life
more meaningful and enjoyable!

1. Visualize your Goal

It begins with the understanding of what you really want. Once that item is taken care of, it is important to visualize the ultimate goal that you are trying to achieve.

When you create a vision of the thing that you aim to achieve, it creates a powerful gravitating force that makes you want to strive for. This vision leads to an inspiration, which in turn propels you to keep yourself motivated.
For example, if weight loss is your goal, see a healthier, slimmer you in that outfit you always wanted to fit into.

No matter what your goal, this works like magic.

2. Postpone Laziness

Procrastination or laziness is a major inhibitor for motivation.
Every time you put something off for later, you move one step down from your goal. Therefore, it is important to stop making excuses and go for it.
If you are preparing for an examination that could change your life for better and you don’t feel like picking up that book to study, postpone that thought; and get started.
Every time that you think of postponing a task in hand that will help you achieve your goal, postpone your excuses/laziness instead of postponing the actual task.
The bottom line: The time is now!

3. Positive In, Negative Out

Negativity in any form hampers your approach towards goals.
The mind allows negativity to seep in quite often; it is important to eliminate these negative thoughts to keep yourself motivated.
Think of all the negative thoughts that cross your mind: some common ones are, “I never knew this task could be so tough, Oh I can’t do this, I don’t think I am cut out for this.”
Instead replace these thoughts with “I can do it, If he/she can, so can I, This is what I have wanted to do always, now is the time.”
Positive thoughts can significantly impact the way you deal with the task at hand, which eventually yields desirable results.
Always approach your goal/task with a “can do” attitude; this is a certain way to keep yourself motivated for tougher challenges.
Besides positive thoughts, it is also essential to avoid negative people who can do or say things to bring your motivation levels down.
Criticism and compliments are both important components of staying motivated.
However, with positive people you are sure to get less criticism and more support, which plays a pivotal role in keeping you even more motivated.

4. One Day at a Time

While a long-term vision to your goal is crucial, it is equally important to take small steps.
Set yourself small milestones that finally lead to your main goal.
By taking these baby steps, you enjoy small successes that help you stay motivated.
After a few days/months, you will start to notice that you have progressed well, and want to keep going for more.

5. Don’t Give Up

You can’t control all things about your life.
If you experience a little lull in your motivation levels, don’t give up.
You still have the big goal that still remains to be achieved.
If you experience a slowdown, don’t let it get to you.
It is probably just one of those days when you are really not up to it.
Take it easy; however, don’t lose sight of the long-term goal and how badly you need to achieve it.
Motivation, like learning, never ceases and is a lot of hard work.
With a little effort and a never-give-up-attitude, you are going to keep your motivation levels at an all-time high.

Happy Reading!!!

Let Go...

Let go all the troubles bothering you
Let go of those are unkind to you
Let go of those who betray you
Let go of the past to move forward
Let go of those who bring you down
Let go of those who hurt you
Let go all the stresses
Let go those who break your heart
Let go all the sorrows
Let go of those who utilize you for their own sake
Let go all the negative thoughts
Let go unwanted sweat and tears
Let go of yesterday♥

Have a lovely Monday:)

Being Children means....

Being a busy mom of three young children, I am becoming eager for the time when they would have some more independence. I know it is true and try my best to remind myself each time that I need
to cherish everyday I have with my lovely children.
There are very few things in life as heart warming and gratifying as watching them growing.
But there are times, they will push you to the limit!
But as we know.. let the children be children, right.....

Being children means:-
they will argue among them
even they will argue with you
they will fight among them
they will do things annoying you
they will demand so many things
they won't listen to you 50% of the time
girls will whine and cry
while boys will pinch, kick and push
they watch tv all the time
they play all the time

BUT
they will also say "I love you" many times
they will fight to be beside you often
they will fight to sleep on your lap
they will praise you
they say 'thank you' for everything you do for them
they will keep you company
they will never forget to hug and kiss you
they will make you smile, laugh
they will always remember your birthdays
they will bring joy to you
they will make your day

p/s: To my children, thank you very much for everything. ~They always make my day when my dear Husband away for miles and days:)

Something to Share...

 BEFORE MARRIAGE
He: Yes. At last. It was so hard to wait.
She: Do you want me to leave?
He: NO! Don't even think about it.
She: Do you love me?
He: Of course! Over and over!
She: Have you ever cheated on me?
He: NO! Why are you even asking?
She: Will you kiss me?
He: Every chance I get!
She: Will you hit me?
He: Are you crazy! I'm not that kind of person!
She: Can I trust you?
He: Yes.
She: Darling!

 AFTER MARRIAGE
Read from the bottom going up

This list that I stumbled upon (source: solve your problem) the other day is so great I just have to share it with you! Here are some great, inexpensive tips for a happier marriage  in order to keep the spark of your relationship alive.
So, start explore now :-)

Point 1: Be independent.
Just because you marry, it doesn’t mean you must embrace everything about your partner. Sometimes, you forget about how different you two are because you’ve been together for so long. Don’t lose your uniqueness because it’s the same thing that attracted both you and your partner in the first place. Try to take on different interests and encourage your partner to do so too.

Point 2: Never be angry at the same time.
When you’re angry, you hear nothing else and you don’t care about anything else. If you find that both you and your partner are angry, try to have some space. Calm down. Then talk. Be sensitive to each other’s ups and downs. Talk through the problem and hear each other out. Abandon the whole world rather than each other. And never go to sleep without settling the argument. Most importantly, never yell at each other unless the house is on fire.

Point 3: If you have to disagree, do it lovingly.
There will be a lot of times when you and your spouse won’t agree at all in some aspects. Don’t make your point sound like a criticism to your partner. It doesn’t matter who is wrong or right. Always bear in mind that an argument doesn’t need a winner or a loser.

Point 4: Never bring up mistakes of the past.
Whenever something goes wrong, do not rub past issues in. Don’t dwell over the past such that you become blind with the wonderful things ahead of your relationship.

Point 5: At least once every day, try to say one thoughtful or complimentary thing to your partner.
When a couple always spends time with each other, they often forget about courtesy. “Take the trash out. Do the laundry.” Isn’t there something missing in those phrases? Perhaps putting “Please” before each sentence would make it sound so much better. Never take each other for granted.
Showing constantly that you both like each other will help keep your relationship fresh. Even something as simple as complementing on your spouse’s looks or buying little unexpected gifts can help. Look for the things that would make your partner feel appreciated.
Have a Happy Sunday!!!
