Let's Dream Together

Let's Dream Together

This image was captured by my working colleague, Sree at Mines Wonderland, Kuala Lumpur. I was impressed with this image....lovely couple of beautiful black swans. With her permission, I would like to share with all of you.
Actually, I have been keeping in my h/phone folder for couple of weeks and  thinking for the suitable title for this image. And I'm quite happy that I manage to find the suitable title to portray this image. Do you agree?

Medan Trip

Medan Trip (3 June -6 June 2012)

HORAS!!! HORAS!!HORAS!!

Hah wondering what is horas- it's just like 'apa khabar' (malay) or 'hello'.

It was a good chance to hang out with my colleagues after spending months and months working.  Our tour guide, Adrial- such a nice and friendly guy. We had no problem in language since we understand Indonesian language, after all Malay language is not much different.

After breakfast we were heading to Parapat about five and half hours from Polonia Airport. Stopped for breakfast since we reached there at 9 am (Indonesian time). It's just one hour different from Malaysian Time.

I noticed all the drivers there like honking and..... oh GOD lots of honking.

We realized soon that this was very common here and the drivers are very skillful, so we were fairly relaxed throughout the journey.

Forgive and Forget

Do you FORGIVE and FORGET?

Do you FORGIVE and FORGET?

Forgive and forget… this is a popular line used by lots of people especially when giving advice, it's easy to say but not easy to follow.

To forgive someone for their mistakes is an art of living because the act of pardoning the individual can be healing. It can be done, though it may take some time.

It is normal for everyone to get hurt by friends, relatives or family members at some point owing to their actions or words as we all human.

Even though we’ve forgiven someone for their  wrongdoings, we can never really forget the pain,  completely.

But there are some things we can never forget nor forgive the person for their doings no matter how we try, or how many tears we shed over the incident. Am I right?

Many says that it can be improved and healed by forgiving someone unconditionally so that we enjoy total freedom because we have released all our hurt and burden but then again, it will stay with us forever,  just like a wound, it can be healed but the scars will remain there~leaves a permanent mark, right.

I do believe anyone can forgive but the forgetting part is marginal.

Its too hard to forgive and forget things or people who hurt you – you may have courage to forgive but to forget......?

GOD Bless All of You;)

For tea time?

Do you know what fruit is this?

No idea...........

The fruit has a starchy texture and fragrance that tends to remain
about the fresh baked bread. The nutritious fruit and the
seeds are edible.
Low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium and very high in
Vitamin C, Dietary Fiber and Potassium.
The nutritional value of it helps you to maintain optimum health. Has been considered as a nutritionally beneficial fruit. A large amount of nutrients and useful calories can be obtained by eating this fruit.
Very rich in healthy Omega fats.

The fruits are usually cooked (boiled, baked, roasted or fried)

Let me introduce this fruit:-

Scientific name: Artocarpus altilis
Synonym: Artocarpus communis
Artocarpus incisa
English: Breadfruit
Breadnut
Dutch: Broodboom

Spanish: Árbol del pan
Frutipan

Thus, in Malaysia we called as Sukun.
I bought this fruit yesterday on my way back from my parents' house (Johore). Since it is sukun's season, so you can easily get this fruit especially if you passed by kampung (village) area.

Well, sukun/ breadfruit chips are ready to eat + tea (teh O)
for my tea time today:)
Actually, this is the simplest one to prepare.

Sukun/ Breadfruit Chips

Ingredients:
  • Breadfruit as required

  1. Firstly, peel off the skin. Cut the breadfruit into very thin slices.

Happy Father's Day:)

To all the WONDERFUL FATHERS out there......

To my Appa, I always love you.
Thanks for everything, Appa

Few months ago, I got this email from a friend of mine. But I'm so sorry because I couldn't find the author of this article. I didn't get the chance to post this and i feel this is the right time to post  due to special day for fathers:) Furthermore, I  just thought of sharing with you all, because it's really beautiful and very touching.  It's a letter written by an old father to his child.

My Child,

When I get old, I hope you understand and have patience with me.

In case I break a plate, or spill soup on the table because I'm loosing my eyesight.  I hope you don't yell at me.  Older people are sensitive.  Always having self pity when you yell. When my hearing gets worse and I can't hear what you're saying, I hope you don't call me "Deaf!", please repeat what you said or write it down.

I'm sorry, my Child. I'm getting older.

When my knees get weaker, I hope you have the patience to help me get up.  Like how I used to help you while you were little, learning how to walk.

Please bear with me.

When I keep repeating myself like a broken record, I hope you just keep listening to me.  Please don't make fun of me, or get sick of listening to me.

Do you remember when you were little and you wanted a balloon? You repeated yourself over and over until you got what you wanted.

Please also pardon my smell.  I smell like an old person.  Please don't force me to shower, my body is weak. Old people get sick easily when they're cold.  I hope i don't gross you out.

Do you remember when you were little? I used to chase you around because you didn't want to shower. I hope you can be patient with me, when I'm always cranky.  It's all part of getting old.  You'll understand when you're older. And if you have spare time, I hope we can talk even for a few minutes.  I'm always all by myself all the time and have no one to talk to.  I know you're busy with work.  Even if you're not interested in my stories, please have time for me.

Do you remember when you were little? I used to listen to your stories about your teddy bear.  When the time comes and I get ill and bedridden, I hope you have the patience to take care of me.

I'm sorry, if i accidentally wet the bed or make a mess.  I hope you have the patience to take care of me during the last few moments of my life.

I'm not going to last much longer, anyway.  When the time of my death comes, I hope you hold my hand and give me the strength to face death.  And don't worry, when I finally meet our Creator, I will whisper in his ear to bless you. because you loved your mom and dad.

Thank you so much for your care.

I love you.

With much love

 Dad.

After reading this, I had no words to describe this letter.  It is sad to know that there are people who wouldn't care about their parents. I hope they have heard of old saying, "What goes around comes back around".  I was deeply touched by this letter.

Note: A lesson for all children ....who are fortunate enough to still have parents.
Shower them with love and care.

Just A Reminder For Me

Closing a chapter in our life is not easy.

But sometimes we have to let go
You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading your last one.

As we grow older, I think we are always changing and evolving.
We never stay the same.
Sometimes we have to change in order to be better.
There are many ways to go, to choose, to take.
However, only we can know which direction to move.

Good Night and Sweet Dream to Everyone:)

His favourite stuff is hand phone..........he knows whether it is the real or toy hand phone:)
And he knows how to operate too......touch screen makes him easier to go to the
widgets he wants~like musics and videos

Father puts on new shoes which he bought for lil one from Germany
Father: The shoes I bought really fits you, my dear:)

Second, my wedding anniversary on the 1st June, husband back from Germany  on the dot with lot of stuffs from there.........

My life partner:)
(Our Wedding Picture)
 We did look different:)
15 years ago, we became one. As years passing by, we beat all the challenges in our life.
But we still remain together as one.

And blessed with three wonderful children:)

Thirdly, my trip to Medan with friends was fun and full of laughters:) Will upload the photos of Medan trip very soon.

p/s: Since school holidays over, my husband too travels again for work to Dubai early morning today. I'm very sure, there are many ladies out there have to cope up with traveling husbands. I know, it's not easy but for me his absence is a good time for me to visit old friends, pampering myself with spa and taking up some special project just to pass the time......

Happy Sunday to All:)
