What's up?

"The best thing that happened today was getting a whole lot of chores done at home, some shopping, some cooking and some laundry. You feel happy when things are in place and nothing like a home cooked meal to make you feel warm and much appreciated from your loved ones."

Sleeping positions

The way you sleep can tell a lot about the person that you are:)

Source: BBC

Foetus(41%): Those who curl up in the foetus position are described
as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they
first meet somebody,
but soon relax. This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by
41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many
women as men tend to adopt this position.
Log (15%): Lying on your side with both arms down by your side. These
sleepers are easy going, social people who like being part of the in-crowd,
and who are trusting of strangers. However, they may be gullible.
Yearner (13%): People who sleep on their side with both arms out in front
are said to have an open nature, but can be suspicious, cynical. They are slow to
make up their minds, but once they have taken a decision, they are unlikely
 ever to change it.
Soldier (8%): Lying on your back with both arms pinned to your sides.
People who sleep in this position are generally quiet and reserved.
They don’t like a fuss,
but set themselves and others high standards.
Freefall (7%): Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow,
and your headturned to one side. Often gregarious and brash people,
 but can be nervy and
thin-skinned underneath, and don’t like criticism, or extreme situations.
Starfish (5%): Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow.
These sleepers make good friends because they are always ready to
listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don’t
like to be the centre of attention.
My favourite sleeping position is foetus. How about yours?
Happy weekend:)

Amazing story

I've read this many times but it seems just as beautiful as the first time I read it.

Eight Lies My Mother Told Me While I was Growing Up~via email

Source-Google image
This story begins when I was a child: I was born poor. Often we hadn't enough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me her portion of rice. While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say, "Eat this rice, son, I'm not hungry." This was Mother's First Lie.

As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house; she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could give me a little bit more nutritious food for my growth. Once she had caught just two fish, she would make fish soup. While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and eat what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten; my heart was touched when I saw it. Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick but she immediately refused it and said, "Eat this fish son, I don't really like fish." This was Mother's Second Lie.

Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to bring home some used matchboxes, which she filled with fresh matchsticks. This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candlelight. So I said, "Mother, go to sleep; it's late: you can continue working tomorrow morning." Mother smiled and said, "Go to sleep son, I'm not tired." This was Mother's Third Lie.

When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me. After dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun. When the bell rang, I ran to meet her... Mother embraced me and poured me a glass of tea that she had prepared in a thermos. The tea was not as strong as my Mother's love. Seeing Mother covered with perspiration, I at once gave her my glass and asked her to drink too. Mother said, "Drink son, I'm not thirsty!" This was Mother's Fourth Lie.

After Father's death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent. She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Our family's life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeing our family's condition worsening, my kind Uncle, who lived near my house, came to help us solve our problems big and small. Our other neighbors saw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised my mother to marry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying, "I don't need love." This was Mother's Fifth Lie.

After I had finished my studies and got a job, it was time for my old Mother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morning just to sell a few vegetables. I kept sending her money but she was steadfast and even sent the money back to me. She said, "I have enough money." That was Mother's Sixth Lie.

I continued my part-time studies for my Master's Degree. Funded by the American Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies. With a big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life in America but Mother didn't want to bother her son. She said to me, "I'm not used to high living." That was Mother's Seventh Lie.

In her dotage, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized. Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who was bedridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heartbroken because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said, "Don't cry son, I'm not in pain." That was Mother's Eighth Lie.

Telling me this eighth lie, she died. Yes Mother was an Angel!

  • "M" is for the million things she gave me,
  • "O" means only that she's growing old,
  • "T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
  • "H" is for her heart of gold,
  • "E" is for her eyes with love-light shining in them,
  • "R" means right , and right she'll always be,

p/s~To my Amma: Thank you very much for your love:)
And to all the Mothers in the world~you are always great:)

Check it out:)

What's really important for you

Don't scroll down. Read the info given slowly and answer the question first before you scroll down for the answer. As that you would get more honest and accurate results.

Try this simple test to find out what's really important for you.

Cow, Sheep, Pig, Tiger, Horse

Arrange this 5 animals according to your preference. For example, Sheep will come first if it is your favourite animal.

Now here are the answers.

Cow --- Career
Horse ---Family
Pig --- Money
Sheep --- Love
Tiger --- Pride

And I was quite surprise to find out that money is actually the least important to me. But, love comes first. This is very accurate, as for me wanted to be showered with
 love always:))

Hope you enjoy this test. :P

Online shopping

Hi Readers,
I received my new top/blouse, cardigan and blazer few days ago.
I'm so happy that all fits me well.
I seldom buy online stuffs. This was the third time. First and second time I bought 'mouse' costume and hat for my little darling, Tanneish
 through Facebook.
This mouse costume still fits my boy:)
This time I bought it from the Mosfashion.:)
And I am quite happy with the stuffs I received few days ago:)
Cardigan
Cotton Blazer
Net blouse~ I like this very much:)
The important things that you have to focus when you purchase online are size, material and payment/shipping.

There is nothing that beats the satisfaction of seeing your newly
purchased goods arrive at your doorstep waiting to be worn out.
I found great deals online. But with clothes, if it doesn't fit then you also have to pay ti have the item returned. Thus, measure your body size and check through the details like measurement, types of material
and so on given.

Happy (online) shopping!

Welcome NOVEMBER...

Hello November......
It's the second last month of 2012, can you believe it? This year seems to be wrapping up pretty quickly and I am looking more excitement. This year has passed by so fast ~ feels as though life has been on a fast forward mode*_*
There are so many upcoming events. First, on 2nd Nov my school annual dinner will be held at Alson Klana Resort, Seremban......fyi our theme this year is quite complicated. Why?

Yup.................Arabian theme ^0^

Already decided what to wear for my school annual dinner. Will be sharing my annual dinner photos with you all, okay.

Next, My little darling, Tanneish's birthday on 11th Nov. Plan to celebrate on Diwali night with parents, siblings, SILs, BILs, nephews, nieces and our relatives at my parents's house in Segamat
I am very sure will be the great party:)

After that, the great celebration for Hindus~Diwali~ which falls on 13th Nov. Hubby is not here yet:(  He is still at offshore in Miri. Hopefully he'll be here with me and children for this lovely and colourful day:)

Good news for teachers and students~ School holiday is going to start soon.
Holidays mean jolly days:) Almost 7 weeks.  Yahoooo....
It means no morning rush hours and my dear children: we can sleep late
in the morning! The best part I'm going to be full time mother:)

But wait, there will be one week course somewhere in Port Dickson for me as I am the library and media teacher. My dear children~no worries....you all going to spend time with your lovely grandparents during my course.  I am sure my dear children
will enjoy their stay there.

Hope November brings abundance of  joy for me, my family and you too:)
